The Original Characters this site is all about. It started with my first one back in December 2004 and four more joined in ever since. But who are these characters. That's what this page is for. Scroll down and meet my characters where I tell you things that doesn't even appear in the stories. Some characters that appear in my stories and/or art are either temporary ones or are characters of other people I know who gave me permission to use their characters.


Calypso Rayen
Age: 19

Calypso has been born and raised on Earth. According to her father, she lost her mother at age 5. Her dad is a police officer who got heavily wounded during a case and later died in the hospital to his injuries. Cal herself is a girl who can be cheerful most of the time. But when you remind her of her father, the depression kicks in. She likes cats, long showers, sleeping untill noon, choco-vanilla ice-cream, pizza Hawaï and men with (long) red hair. She's a freshmen in college, studying criminology and sociology. She lives in the old apartment where she lived most of her life with her dad. After his death, Eirwen, her long lost, twin sister, moved in with her ever since they found out they were from the Zanmaken dimension.

Calypso is the very first character I created. It all began with the name, which I already had in mind for over 10 years. Back then, Calypso was my nickname for a close friend of mine. I thought I named her after this icesicle, which I later found out was actually Calippo. but it used to be Calypso. After a while, the name went forgotten, until something reminded me of it 5 years ago. I even looked it up and found out that her name can be found in Greek Mythology. Cal's design is not based on my friend from years ago, but started more as a rip-off from Manah from the Neon Genesis Game: Girlfriend of Steel. After a while, she got more her own style of hair. Her hair used to be drawn braided in a tail, yet she wears her hair more loose in more recent documents. Her personality is probably the only thing I based on my old friend, mixed with that of a very good friend from the present. Her last name is a name from a player I knew on FFXI who helped me out on rank missions.


Eirwen MacKenzie

Ever since birth, Eirwen had been an orphan, until, after 19 years, she found out she had a twin sister. In these years, Eirwen has been to many foster parents, only to return to the orphanage after a few days, because of violent behaviour. One day she ran away from the orphanage and got lost in the vity. During a cold night, while at the edge of starvation, she was found by a couple that owned a nightclub, who eventually took her in. For years, Eirwen and her new parents got along great, until her foster parents died in a car crash on her 18th birthday. Her parents left her the nightclub, which she still runs ever since. After a year, she found out she had a twin sister and was a Zanmaken. Since then, the two have been living together. Eirwen is a freshmen at the same college Calypso attends, studying marketing, communication and psychology. Although she appears cute, she can become violent when irritated. The more you irritate her, the more violent she becomes. The reason her latest parents could handle her, was because of the bodyguards they had. The things Eirwen likes best are cats, relaxing baths, get to bed early, soft ice-cream, fire, spaghetti, yaoi and 'hot' men.

Eirwen is a game character from origin. Me and some others were playing an MMORPG named Kal Online and after a while, I thought it would be fun to have an ice magage. After Kal Online got boring, I started to play ROSE Online, where I once again created Eirwen as my character. Then a transfer to Ragnarok Online took place. Soon I drew Eirwen in a drawing, giving her a look that was kind of a mixture between her haircuts from ROSE and Ragnarok Online. Later on, I redesigned her hair a bit to look more like sister Esther from Trinity Blood. Her looks haven't changed much since she got drawn. Her name was looked up on a site, where you can find names with meanings, and I was looking for a meaning like ice or snow, since she became an ice mage at first. Her personality is a mixture of a couple of friends of mine. er last name is a name from a player I knew on FFXI who helped me out on rank missions.


Nakato Rayen
Age: 27
Sex: Female
Race: Zanmaken

One day, the suspect in a murder case. The other day the aunt of two long lost twins. Nakato comes from the Zanmaken Dimension, where men were abandoned many years ago. She's the 3rd runner up on becoming the leader of their race. Her 12 year older sister was the mother of Calypso and Eirwen, who passed away 14 years ago. Due to an accident, the Blue Moon doesn't have any effect on Nakato anymore, making Nikki her only daughter. She likes to wield swords around, especially her KIDT (Katana for InterDimentional Travel), which she often uses to visit her nieces. She can be very technical, but is a newbie when it comes to certain Earthen technology like the internet.

Nakato started as my first character on Kal ONline, an MMORPG, where she was an archer. I first tried Calypso, but that name was already taken. At first, I thought of Nakato as being her Cal's twin, since Nakato means "Second of Twins", but that changed later on. Instead, I made her Cal and Eir's aunt later on. Her design is based on the Selkies from Final Fantasy Christal Chronicles. Her haircolor is based on Calypso's, who's haircolor is based upon someone I liked. Her personality is somewhat based upon a few persons I like in real life.


Auberon Shitoshi

Hair: Dark Blue

After High School, Auberon joined the police. For a few years, he has been the partner of Calypso's father. When he died, Auberon swore to solve the case they were working on and get revenge on the one who killed him. Auberon became a father at age 20, when Nakato visited him from her home dimension. It's been 3 years later that he got to take care of their daughter Nikki, because of personal reasons. He likes a good coffee, but prefers Pepsi any day. Pizza is what he likes to eat the most. He's a rather big anime/manga fan and owns a ps2 and a GameCube. he has a guitar, but he doesn't play it often.

My second character in the MMORPG Kal Online, a knight. His name in the game was Bearorca, which was somewhat a spinoff from Bear and Orca from the .hack series. When writing the first story on Calypso and Eirwen, I added him in it, but I had to come up with a better name. After searching for names meaning bear and orca, I came across Auberon, meaning bear. I couldn't find anything with orca, fish or whale as meaning, so that had to be it. Other options were B.O. and Bereoca. His last name is a mix of Satoshi and Shigeru from Pokemon (don't ask >.>). his looks are copied a bit from a character from an anime I was watching at the time. his personality is most like mine, yet his personality is his own.


Nikki Shitoshi

As far as she knows, Nikki has always been living with her fater, Auberon. At age 9, she first met her mother, Nakato. For the past few years, she has been babysat by Calypso on almost a daily base, whenever Cal was out of school and AUberon was at work. She considers Calypso like her mother and likes spending time with her. Nikki is a little afraid of Eirwen for a reason unknown. Nikki is a shy girl and doesn't say much, but is also very knowledgeable. Nikki likes to wear skirts and her cuddly toy cat, which she got from Auberon when she was 3 years old, which she carries to almost everywhere. She was named after the old commander of Auberon, Nikki Saiko.

Unlike many of the others, Nikki did not start as a character in some MMORPG. Her first appearance was in the Prologue Story, where she had no name for a long time. She was only mentioned as Auberon's daughter. When I wrote her down, at first she was an energetic and normal little girl. But about half a year later, when I rewrote the Prologue Story, her personality changed. Her looks are copied from my favourite TV game hostess. The color of her hair was not copied from anyone, just like the color of her eyes.
